Create your secure datafile and copy it on a USB stick. You do not have to install any software: the encrypted data is hidden within the software and protect by your password. If you lost the file, noone can open it or review the data.

Crypditor works like a text editor. Write your text or import your existing textfiles (tabbed working is supported) within Crypditor and save the file. Double-click at the file and enter your password: you have access to your text files again.
